Asphalt Emulsion Systems

Our company closely follows global technologies in asphalt emulsion systems and has become a leading manufacturer in its region thanks to its extensive experience in asphalt emulsion production and related industrial applications.

Asphalt emulsions are generally classified into two categories: anionic and cationic emulsions. Since cationic emulsions are the most widely used type worldwide, our company has specialized in the production and application of cationic asphalt emulsions. Cationic emulsion consists of approximately 65% asphalt, 35% water, and emulsifying agents, and is characterized by its rapid setting properties.

As shown in standard application procedures, the system is applied by spraying a layer of emulsion followed by relatively coarse aggregate and compaction. A second layer of emulsion is then applied, followed by finer aggregate and compaction, creating a high-quality double surface treatment.

  • In double-layer surface treatments, the aggregate forms a strong bond with the bitumen, significantly improving pavement quality and durability.
  • The smaller aggregate size used in the second layer fills the voids between larger aggregates, creating a smoother and more uniform surface.
  • The uniform distribution of bitumen throughout the total thickness ensures excellent waterproofing and impermeability.
  • Application is preferably carried out at temperatures above +10°C, although it can also be applied at temperatures as low as +5°C.
